GIS Platform Modernization
To keep up with changes in industry practices and regulatory requirements, it is vital for operators to adapt to a more modern, efficient, and cost-effective way to manage pipeline assets. Geonamic has the tools and expertise to perform a complete GIS platform upgrade; this includes Esri platform modernization, migration of entire GIS environment to a managed cloud environment (AWS or Azure), improvement of current workflows, and deployment of several pipeline data management, risk assessment, and integrity management applications.
Geonamic provides services to integrate existing asset and integrity data into an industry-standard PODS 7 or UPDM data model, which incorporates the latest Esri location referencing core. Implementation of these models includes a review of source data as well as a consideration of industry best practices to support pipeline integrity and data maintenance. Our team is also equipped to provide cloud-based or on-premises Esri platform upgrades by performing installation and configuration of the latest ArcGIS Pro and Enterprise technology, to include migration of web and mobile Esri apps. Risk Model Improvement Initiative, Continued Conversations
Geonamic and Pipeline-Risk, both leading technology providers in the oil and gas midstream market, have partnered to sponsor a working group of forward-thinking pipeline operators and risk experts. The goal of the working group is to combine the experience, expertise and data of each participant to explore the practicality of adopting advanced and versatile machine-learned risk models. The project will focus on the efficacy of the models, validation of risk results, risk factor sensitivity, as well as model transparency and interpretability. At the end of the project, pipeline integrity managers and risk engineers will have a clear understanding of machine learning methods and whether machine learning risk assessment is suitable for their Integrity Management and Risk Assessment program.
